Everybody has those days…

"Monday", is the first short concept I've created on my own and was birthed out of an incredibly spur-of-the-moment situation. No budget was used and was filmed "run and gun” style. On top of that, my friend was gracious enough to be my subject despite having no acting experience. This was shot in Toronto, Ontario in June 2023.

Inspired by a chaotic real-life experience I had while babysitting my best friends' kids, after trying to put their eldest son to bed, I heard him crying and attempted to enter his room to console him only to find that the door was locked. After many unsuccessful attempts to open the door, I called his parents while on their date (which the last thing I wanted to do was disrupt them on their very needed date night), to ask how to get through. I thought their son had locked the door on me when really, the door was just jammed after being wrecked from a prior incident. "Monday" to me, is a fun and funny take on overthinking and just having "one of those days."
